Major Assignments

  • User documentation, including Windows Help files and printed manuals, that addressed the use and installation of the controlling software and hardware components for Daniel gas chromatograph instrumentation (Danalyzer®) and Daniel flow computers

Significant Accomplishments

  • Produced printed manuals for the Danalyzer family of gas chromatographs and the MS-DOS software used to operate and control them
  • Produced Windows Help documents for online, context-sensitive help and reference material supporting the Daniel Spectra™ 100 Flow Computer
  • Produced, in Windows Help format, a style guide describing the formatting standards, manual templates, file naming conventions, and so forth, applicable to production of Daniel user documentation
  • Developed, in Microsoft Access 2, a multi-user database application for tracking documents, author(s), file locations, and revision status
  • Developed, in Microsoft Access 97, a prototype, multi-user database application for tracking components (sample conditioning system, columns, hardware, firmware, software) and user/application data for each gas chromatograph sold by Daniel
  • Developed prototype web pages for presentation of Danalyzer sales brochure
  • Promoted the adoption of new software (FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat) and methods for online publication of Daniel printed user manuals
  • Mastered use of macros in Windows Help and WordPerfect documents
  • Developed new skills in web page authoring and web graphics production
